Michael Schwartz, of Weyrich, Cronin & Sorra, Chartered (WC&S) was recently appointed to the board of directors of the Gunpowder Valley Conservancy (GVC).
The Gunpowder Valley Conservancy, a non-profit organization, mobilizes people and resources to care for the lands, waters, and character of the Gunpowder Watershed. Its emphasis is on land preservation, restoration, stream cleanups, and education.
The GVC serves as a bridge connecting citizens with programs and information that can help them become better stewards of the natural and historical resources in our watershed.
Mike is the Manager in the Tax Department at WC&S. He has 7 years of public accounting experience. He is a graduate of Towson University and holds a Bachelors Degree in Accounting. Mike began his career with a national firm and then served 5 years at a local Maryland firm. He has extensive experience working with real estate and small businesses.
Mike is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants. He enjoys biking, kayaking, snowboarding, and cooking.
